ICCC Canada in Germany & Poland
Alistair and the team recently returned from an outstanding time of ministry and teaching along with the International Christian Chamber of Commerce. Read to see this exciting update from John Grady, President of ICCC Canada. ***
Dear ICCC - Canada Members and Friends, Many thanks for your prayers as our ICCC Canada team just returned from a life changing trip to Poland and Germany. We have not included the Berlin portion of the trip that also included travelling by train from Warsaw to Berlin, one full day in Berlin and then a train trip from Berlin to Stuttgart. The International Conference can not be properly documented and I can only recommend purchasing the CD's from the Conference at www.iccc.net however you will note that thanks to May Tan the Poland/Conference portion of the trip is noted below. Photo's of the trip will be in the photo gallery of the www.iccc-canada.com next week. It has been decided that ICCC Canada will be organize an Israel tour that ties into the Feast of Tabernacles in early October / 06 and a subsequent e.mail will be sent out to everybody in the next two weeks Blessings In HIS love, John Grady President ICCC Canada *** ICCC-CANADA’S JOURNEY TO POLAND, May 27 to 29, 2006 The priceless memories of this strategic journey back in the history of the holocaust will be etched forever in the hearts and spirits of our team of 13 Canadians, a USA couple and an Australian. Right at the outset when different members arrived in Warsaw on 27 May 06, there was a strong sense that we were there by divine appointment. We had answered our Heavenly Father’s holy invitation and His timing was precise. While on board the flight from Frankfurt to Warsaw, a few of us realized that we had all left from different cities for our Poland journey on 26 May, which happened to be Jerusalem Day. It was also interesting to us that one of our team members, Sandra, found her watch had stopped at the same time as that of Ottawa’s Clock Tower in Parliament Hill. For the first time in years, the Clock Tower stopped and it did so at 7:28, reminiscent of Psalm 72:8, a scripture verse set by our Canadian founding father, He shall have dominion from sea to sea and from the river to the ends of the earth. “Canada and Israel” would be like golden threads interwoven and highlighted again later in our trip. One of the intercessors in the team actually brought an extra watch in obedience to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, and met Sandra’s need for a watch! Many times during the trip, we felt we had been back through a time tunnel and there were many “freeze frame” moments, when it felt as though we were in Poland at the time of the holocaust. In one synagogue where we were so emotionally drawn to the pictures from a Czech school project, called “Neighbors Who Disappeared” we could almost hear the echoes of voices through time in that old building. So it shocked us to see a soccer ball stuck in the chandelier of the sanctuary, totally out of place, the only stark reminder to us that we were back in 2006. On the way to our coach, we met a crowd of Jewish people who had gathered around a Yiddish Theatre for an evening concert. As we boarded the bus, we could see a wedding take place in a nearby church. Cars and cyclists honked around us and it seemed incongruous to enjoy a breath of fresh air and be free. Our guide was excellent as his city tour of Jewish sites progressed from ghetto wall to ghetto wall, from Mila 18 to Umschlagplatz, from war memorials to palaces. As marketplace people, we were naturally intrigued to note that greed for money and gold definitely was the underlying motive for the seizure of property and people. Successful Jewish businessmen could buy some food and freedom for a period of time, but eventually even their wealth could not save them or their loved ones. In the initial stages when most of them were clueless about what really happened to all those who were sent to “labor camps” the dramatic irony in our tour guide’s stories was almost too much to bear. Fortunately, our first evening in Poland ended with a delicious duck dinner served in a very elegant and well decorated restaurant in the heart of the most charming Old City and we were joined by members of ICCC from Poland, Congo and the Ukraine. That was almost to be the only emotional relief for us as we walked freely on the cobbled streets recalling the torment Jewish people suffered as they were marked for inevitable death with no hopes of escape whatsoever. The next day we drove to Majdanek, a large concentration camp in Lublin, south east of Warsaw. We prayed that our hearts would be sensitive to His heart regarding any prayers, repentance, proclamations or prophetic acts. We asked the Holy Spirit to touch and stir our spirits for what was on His Heart and for His purposes. We sang, Open the Eyes of our Hearts, because we wanted to see beyond the veil of the natural into the unseen realms. As we listened to a recording of the Israeli National Anthem and songs of healing brought to us by Francine from Montreal, we wept in quiet repentance. To provide a background for the strong ties between Canada and Israel, May recounted Canada’s journey with the Jewish people, repenting for anti-semitism by our forefathers who rejected the Jewish passengers of the St. Louis ship. Most of them perished in concentration camps when they were forced to return to Nazi occupied territories. In November 2000 Canada invited the Holocaust Survivors to Ottawa to offer our repentance to the Lord in their presence. (see www.watchmen.org). Peter from USA, shared with us how difficult this journey was for him, because he was a Jew. He shared that one glimmer of hope that resulted from the horrendous holocaust was the creation of the State of Israel. It was interesting that we were prevented from visiting Auschwitz, because the German Pope Benedict was visiting that camp the same day. Majdanek camp, like Auschwitz was occupied by the Germans during the Second World War and it too had become the soil from which the greatest mass murder in the history of humanity was committed against European Jews in Hitler’s plan for their complete destruction. As we walked under the huge commemorative monument of Majdanek, we were reminded of Ps. 23, that though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. We walked on the Road of Martyrs and entered the camp. From there we visited barrack after barrack of horror done to the Jews. During the emotional walk around the camp, there was a group of young Israelis who were being led by a Hebrew tour guide. We were told that many young Israelis visit these camps as preparation before they are enlisted to the Israeli army. It just became too much to think what it would be like if another Shoah were to take place. It was suffocating to enter the gas chambers, to learn of the cruelty in those camps and to witness the hideous sight of old shoes and hair belonging to the Jews. There was a stone table on which the Nazis would dissect the bodies of the Jews to see if there were any gold or jewelry hidden in their bodies. At the crematorium, we were told that it was very difficult to stuff more than 2 or 3 bodies into the fire, because without fail, the arms would fly upward in an eerie way and be flailing as if the bodies had come to life in the fire. Our guide told us that there were storehouses called Kanada stores where all the Jewish property and wealth which had been confiscated would be stored. Again, we saw a link between Canada and the Jewish people. At the end of our tour there, and with the permission of our Polish brothers whose soil we were treading on, we gathered around the Rose Garden by a stone roller and made a prophetic act of blessing before the Lord. The Rose Garden was where the Jewish prisoners had to run around naked while Nazi doctors selected those who would be sentenced to disinfection and subsequent death. While dark clouds hovered, John and Gigi buried some special items that members of our team had felt led by the Lord to bring to Poland. Gela, our Inuit sister had felt led to bring honey, oil, spices, and fragrances, and another Canadian sister felt led to bring a small pin of the Canadian and Israeli flags soldered together. As John and Gigi dug a hole in the ground, the soil looked blood red and we were reminded of the Power and Life of the Blood of Jesus Christ shed for all men through all time. Each member placed the elements into the ground speaking out various scriptures of blessings to the land, to Jewish people, to Polish people and to us all for restoration. We prayed for those yet to believe in the salvation of God. We felt we had buried seeds of favor to the land and we asked for the land to be cleansed and renewed. The Canadian maple leaf was to represent the healing of the nations from the Lord. We felt the stone plane rollers represented the Holy Spirit’s power! No sooner were we done, when the drizzle gave way to a bright burst of sunshine over us! That brightness and light seemed to follow us all the way to Schindler’s Factory where we heard the testimony of one man’s bravery and determination to save his Jewish workers. He did all he could, and spent all he had to save 1100 lives. From then on, our tour seemed to take on a brightness to every place our feet tread. We are so grateful for this trip to remember the Lord in His Story and experience His Presence with us. A Brief Report on the ICCC LEGACY CONFERENCE, MAY 31 TO JUNE 4, 2006 - ALTENSTEIG, GERMANY Opening Night – Highlights The conference opened with rousing worship to the Lord as we gathered to “honor God and sit around His table to feed on Him…” Dale Neill, International President, ICCC welcomed about 500 delegates from 60 + nations to honor God above all else. “I will lead them altogether at one table where I will be the Father and I’m pouring out the spirit of love on all flesh. For by Love this earth has been founded and by Love it will end. “ (A prophetic word shared by Hermann Reiffler, founder and leader of the Altensteig community). After a wonderful presentation from the Mayor of Altensteig, former International President, Michael Fenton-Jones and his wife then called out the nations by name. After the exchange of tokens and gifts, Michael Fenton Jones was invited to address the conference. His message is an End Time word that you don’t want to miss. (to order your tape, www.iccc.net). A very significant seal was going to be broken heralding war and unfolding cataclysmic events. President Dale Neill then spoke powerfully from Psalm 2 and Rev. 12 exhorting us to connect our words of testimony to the voice of Christ’s shed Blood. Under the power of the Blood of Jesus and the power of the spoken word, a national anti-corruption movement was born in Nigeria by God’s Grace through a little Nigerian ICCC chamber that won the approval of the President and government of Nigeria. TIME magazine now reports that Nigeria is no longer #1 in the list of most corrupted nations, but in fact, is moving away from corruption! The Blood of Jesus Christ justifies your legacy. Day One – June 1, 2006 Gunnar Olson, Founder of ICCC greeted the assembly with thanks and then declared: “I am in a new time and so are you, whether you like it or not. Through you and your business, the Lord makes His claim for His Glory.” - ICCC, now in its 21st year of existence is being thrust from the Upper Room and launched out to the public arena, moving from the spiritual domain to the public domain. God is making a claim for all business life on earth in order to manifest His Glory in the world. This our 12th International General Meeting is like a Bar Mitzvah for us. We are to lift our eyes and look to the North, to the South, to the East and to the West, because “what you see determines what you will get.”
- Hearing the Voice of God, learning His Ways, His Character and experiencing His hand blessing us despite who we are, we now need to consecrate ourselves for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders through us (Joshua 3:5).
- There must not be any mixture in our hearts, for He will not share His Glory with any other. Isaiah 57:15 reminds us that the Lord, who is High and Lofty dwells with the humble and contrite. Unless He crushes us like a grain of wheat we cannot continue in the next steps He has for us. The Lord will show His Glory, but we cannot be in the way.
Alistair Petrie challenged us with his dynamic message, The Legacy of the Anointed. It needs to be in the hands of every marketplace leader. What is the legacy of the anointed and how is it being released? Some very powerful testimonies were shared, and even a few funny stories that were both true and telling. Whatever has been sown in very quiet ways in unknown places is being reaped today. Alistair, who with his son, Michael, has been tracking powerful transformations in cities and nations shared where and how the Lord has been moving mightily all over the world particularly among kings and presidents. The Nations, Our Legacy was a challenging message delivered by Jan Sturesson. The stage is set for us to shine in the business world. Heads of state and government leaders are going to look to us for answers. This is the best time for Kingdom businesses to be relevant and to make a difference where we are. It is time to see into the invisible, unseen realms and co-create with God and call all things into existence that are part of Heaven’s plans. Consumption today is high on the invisible, on knowledge. We have the true treasure of knowledge. We have the best stories to tell and share, the creativity and innovation, visions and dreams. It’s time to receive a new relevance and a fresh revelation of how-to-do-it, with creativity and inspiration, to be enablers, providers, and facilitators of His dreams. Ask of Me, by Alistair Petrie. We have been for too long asking the wrong questions and fighting the wrong battles. We need to ask the God of the impossible to invade our lives and we must not negate what God can do just because we haven’t witnessed or experienced Him that way before. Alistair interlaced crucial keys to transformation with true stories and testimonies of how asking God the right questions released miracles into the lives of businesses and business owners. In this culture of unbelief, let’s not stop testifying of His Greatness. Let’s rise up to our anointings. Breathe and smell Kingdom Culture. This is a real faith builder. Get the tape! Day Two – June 2, 2006 Strategies, Methods and Tools for Effectively Serving the Nations. Gerhard Rauch, Vice President of ICCC International, brought life to a practical message packed with tools and keys for effective service to the nations. This session really helps ICCC chambers to see how and where they fit in to the increased ministry of ICCC International. Again, our challenge is to be relevant and to make a difference to our nations. He gave us keys to apply the strategic tools that are available from ICCC that are instruments of blessing to at least 10 key areas in any society or nation. The afternoon sessions that included Prayer meetings and various Business seminars. In the evening, we heard The Message of Love within the Rod of IronGlobal Trade Center in Jerusalem. There was a hush in the sanctuary as people pondered these plans in their hearts and took care to pray in groups on what had been shared. The next day was the IGM with afternoon seminars and a commissioning session that concluded the conference. by Sister Joella of the Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary. Sister Joella began her message with these words: New life comes out of ruins. The secret to our authority in Christ is to have pure hearts and to give our all to Him as a Bride to her Bridegroom. The tape will impart to you a heart that has been used to surrendering her all to Jesus. The evening ended a joint presentation by Gunnar Olson and Dale Neill. Plans of ICCC to build the On behalf of the Canadian delegation, we would like to express our appreciation to President Dale Neill and congratulate his entire team who organized the conference for a job well done! Our Thanks also to all in Altensteig who served us with such gracious hospitality and kindness. We truly enjoyed our time with you! ~
